We will return!

Hellloooo! So I want to give an update on things!

First I decided that I’ll start working on Wingless again after my summer conventions, so that means after July. There’s no ETA for the EXACT date but it means I will start drawing for the comic again around that time (if the below bullet point is finished).

Second, because I am planning on growing my comics repertoire with two(!!) new comics eventually, I have begun to migrate this site to a network of comics to better manage in the future. It has been a serious thorn in my side but after everything is said and done things will be smoother for me to manage more comics. You will have to update your RSS after the fact, because the host will no longer be winglesscomic.com but winglesscomic.thelumiereatelier.com (still under construction); however, the domain name “winglesscomic.com” will still point to the new host.

Third, as I pick up on drawing the comic, you will probably notice the jarring art change from where I left off to the new comic. I hope you won’t mind, as I’ve changed styles since then.

Fourth, I want to thank everyone for being very patient with me.

I hope to see you soon.

I am happy to hear that you seem to have recovered enough that you can continue drawing again. But are you sure your wrist can handle doing multiple comics?

I thought the same and probably not, LEL. It was suggested that once I do start my new comic that I update each other every other week (e.g. wingless 1 week, other one the next week) which technically means it’d be a two wait week between comics on a single site, but I’ll just test the waters and see what happens when it happens.

The other new comic is a humour one that doesn’t have a regular update schedule, so it’s really just the two serious ones that would compete for Wrist Attention™

I see. Well, take care of yourself and stay healthy!

Have you considered making one or two of them into sprite comics? Even if you drew the sprites yourself there’d be only a limited amount of poses and facial expressions you’d have to do and you could just combine them as needed.

I just loved the silliness of Bob&George and 8-Bit Theater back in the day, but nowadays it seems like everyone has to be Michelangelo and some artists already burned themselves out over that. But custom sprites would be a lot prettier anyway and as far as I know there are programs where sprites are essentially like dolls, so you can do a lot more with them. E.g. My Little Pony was made in Flash.

Or if you want to go 3D, look at The Crease.

  • Wonderful! I was just digging through old comics I’ve missed and found this good news.

    Looking forward to updates. 🙂
