She’s made some mistakes yeah, but he just isn’t helping in anyway. It be one thing if he was admonishing her in a constructive way. Like a mentor. But here he is just insulting her in a spiteful and disdainful way. I especially hate he he’s like,”Yeah I had an idea that would have helped out a lot, but I just decided not to mention it and let you charge the thing.” Seriously Bouquin, seriously?
That said, I’ve never been a can of book burnings, but so far I’d be willing to make an exception for Bouquin.
to be honest the book has a point and still he’s not clean of guilt as well, I mean he’s not helping her at all he’s only insulting over and over and over, I mean from the very start he didn’t help her in anyway at all.
I give her the credit she tried at least, and she was brave but her approach wasn’t right she’s a princess and she’s still learning! Bouquin please if you have nothing nice to say then keep it quiet!
your writing is great so far! making the readers to feel pity for the protagonist and feel the urge to help her and support her, you’re doing very well! keep it coming!
and she’s about to tear it apart
he isnt helping because she doesnt listen. he advises her not to do something, she tells him ‘no knight hood’ he uses logic as she leaves him behind, closes him, or stick him in her pants. im with the book. stupidity.
Hey Bouquin, here’s an Idea: How about you actually try to keep her from getting killed.
Unless you want to be stuck in the middle of the forest with a corpse until your pages decay.
You know…I gotta side with the book here. Since the beginning she has been acting like “I’m gonna become a Knight and save my family honor! If I wish with all my heart, that’s gonna be really easy!”. I mean…she thinks the world is just a fantasy. Sure, the book is being kind of an asshole, but she’s not listening to him either.
Ouch. Cold. If she learns from her mistakes, it is an epic tale. If she doesn’t, it’s a picaresque.

You may not be dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it’s the only tool you have.
