Aaaaaaaaaand this is where her “secrecy” on what she’s doing goes straight out the window.

Something tells me the next page or two will be full of exposition.

I’m a bit ashamed I had to look the Kanji up to read the author comment. -.-

    • Meakyo

What if you couldn’t read that Kanji because it wasn’t Kanji?

      • Sazuroi

There probably wouldn’t be Kana then, but I’d just consult a dictionary for the language in questions. 😛

        • Meakyo

It is Kana, but Kanji isn’t one of the Kanas anyway. It’s likely some form of Romanji or Hiragana. I may not be able to directly read it but I know that much.

          • Sazuroi

There’s Katakana and Hiragana besides the Kanji. Romaji is Roman letters like we use. XD

If a text has Kana at all, it can only be japanese, and japanese grammar requires the use of Kana as conjunctions, though I think they can be replaced by their respective Kanji (since Kana started off as simplified Kanji) but that is at least very uncommon, nevermind that specifying many Kanji readings requires to add Kana anyway.

Chinese would only have Hanzi, and Taiwan Chinese would have the old complex form rather than the simplified mainland one. All other languages using chinese characters have other writing systems as well, which are often dominant (such as Korea, which has its own very smart system and scarcely uses Hanja today), or have switched to roman letters (such as Vietnam).

I’m mostly irked I couldn’t read this without looking it up because I studied japanese at the university for a while.^^

approaching the end of the chapter eh? that is indeed quite interesting! and who is this lady anyway? this comic is giving birth to questions more than it’s giving answers! lol! nice going so far very good! keep it up! sorry for not commenting about the previous week… had some serious software problems like REAL problems!

  4. Ooorah

And she has actual wings. Interesting!

  5. Super fly480

At least the lady didn’t ask for Bouquin as I’m pretty sure he’s expensive. I’d like to say this new character is bad news; she’s very armed and skilled, has a lot of wealth so a knife as payment is more disarming, she has to get something extra in the long run…
Also the only part of the author comment I can read is chapter. Much Japanese skills…:)

i think the book is safe. the story is being told by someone who “heard her laugh, made her cry, saw her fall in love, and saw her die” so i’m pretty sure the only thing that has been with her on the whole journey is the book…this seems a lot like the romeo and Juliet story, but more brutal…

      • Sazuroi

Actually, I don’t think this princess is the one from the title – unless he completely changed her design and much of her outlook. Particularly the final scene of the intro movie suggests she may actually be the narrator of it. Could also be more complicated, but so far I consider the intro princess to be a different character altogether.

Noooo! I discovered this today, and I am finally caught up! Crap! Now I have to wait… Oh well, now I’m gonna reread this in Orchid version to see the differences

Top comment seems to translate to Approaching end of chapter (at least thats what the translation addon i have says it says)

  8. anonomoose

    末のチャプター近づく

    approaching end of chapter.

  9. bookworm

No, no, no. It says “Approaching the closing chapter”. The conjunctions in Japanese only go in one direction, and it’s not the one the statistical translation programs guess at.

Wow. I just found this comic. I haven’t had a chance to read your story, but your art is effing amazing. If the eye candy is there, I’ve found that the quality of the story is usually as good, if not better. Case in point, “Unsounded.” The best of all possible worlds, as far as a webcomic goes.

    • Necrophage

Oh, and check out “Kill Six Billion Demons.” It will make you rethink about anything you have ever thought about anything.
